Gautam Gambhir is a former Indian cricket team player who represented the team for many years and also he has won two world cups with the team( 2007 T20 world cup and also the 2011 world cup).
Gautam Gambhir was the unsung hero of the Indian national team who played wonderful knocks for the team but did not get that much of limelight, he is the one who played an outstanding inning in the 2007 T20 world cup final against Pakistan and he was the highest run-scorer for the team and also in the 2011 world cup final he was the highest run-scorer for the team and on the base of his innings team claimed their world cup trophy.
The Delhi born batsman Gautam Gambhir was born 14th October 1981 in Delhi and Gautam Gambhir family background is very rich as his father Deepak Gambhir is a textile merchant in Delhi and also the southpaw also got one sister named Ekta who is two years younger than him, and his mother name is Seema Gambhir, and he got married to Natasha Jain and now the lovely couple has got two wonderful children.
After his birth, he got adopted by his grandparents and after that he was ever since lived with them, he was very much into the game of cricket since his young days, he is the one who started playing the game at the age of 10 and in his childhood days he did his schooling from the Modern School in Delhi and after completing his school he did his graduation from the Hindu College in Delhi, he also stayed with his maternal uncle Pawan Gulati’s house as well and he considered him as his coach so before any important matches he used to call him to get some advice from him.
In his career, the superstar has played 58 test matches for the country and he has played total 147 one day international matches for the team and also 37 T20 international matches and he has 11 tons to his name in the One-day international cricket in test matches he has nine hundred to his name.
In his career also he also captained the Indian national team for a couple of times as well and did well with that after retiring from cricket he joined the Bharatiya Janta Party in the presence of Union minister Mr. Arun Jaitley, he was named as a candidate from the east Delhi side and in the vote, the superstar won the election with 695,109 against his opposition.
The superstar also has got a foundation on his name which was started in the year 2014 in Delhi and in there he has set up many community kitchens and also many other things as well and this great initiative of his got applauded by everyone and now also sometimes we have witnessed him on the television screens as well.
